35 years patient suffering from generalized aggressive periodontitis and osteoporosis.

The patient also needs orthodontic treatment for  a noticeable displacement of teeth in the upper  dental arch.

The patient was treated with some sessions of minimally invasive periodontal therapy performed with operating microscope and laser.

Once defeated periodontal disease and restored the natural balance of the mouth bacterial microflora, the patient was treated with fixed orthodontic and cosmetic treatment.

The result was the saving of the teeth that were at risk extraction and the recovery both functional and aesthetic of the mouth.

Microbiological analysis before and after the gum disease treatment

After 14 months the bacterial load was reduced from 6.5% to 0.5%. Even pathogenic periodontal bacteria belonging to red complex (the most aggressive), which were the ones prevailing, have totally disappeared.
